KEN MAYERS, co-founder of Veterans for Peace Santa Fe, presents Overview on the Current Work in New Mexico and the New Pivot to Asia, Saying “No to Expanded U.S. Bases in Asia.”

Journey Host: Alan Webber

Veterans for Peace is a national organization founded by men and women who have served in the military forces in times of peace as well as every conflict since the outbreak of WWII and who now seek to serve by helping our nation move toward peace and justice rather than war and exploitation. Watch the 90-second video: http://tinyurl.com/vfp-intro.

Mayers will discuss the LOCAL CHAPTER’S WORK in New Mexico and focus on the context for current US policy of attempting to surround China militarily as well as the regional resistance to elements of that policy.
