Addressing Climate Change with Bold Solutions.
With Mariel Nanasi, Executive Director & President of
New Energy Economy
Journey Hosts: Alan Webber & Bill Dupuy

New Energy Economy is the only opposition party to stand against PNM’s newest $750 million rate case set for hearing beginning Monday, August 7, 2017.

PNM is asking ratepayers to foot the bill for 148 million dollars of capital expenditures at the 51-year old Four Corners coal plant, despite the company’s lack of financial analysis to show that the company’s reinvestment in Four Corners is justified.

Mariel Nanasi, a civil rights and criminal defense attorney licensed to practice in both the state and federal courts, shows how standing up to PNM can lead to more great family-supporting jobs in the renewable energy industry than this outmoded support for coal. Mariel argues we must require our elected officials to heed the wishes of the electorate and go 100% for renewables. Our lives, our children and grandchildren deserve nothing less.
