With Merle Lefkoff, Center for Emergent Diplomacy

Merle Lefkoff, Founder and CEO of Center for Emergent Diplomacy, spent decades as an international mediator in the Middle East, Northern Ireland, Bosnia, and Central and Eastern Europe. She received a research grant to study Complex Adaptive Systems, also called Complexity Science, and its application to global peace building. She was appointed Guest Scientist and Affiliate at the Center for Non-Linear Studies at Los Alamos National Laboratory, where she explored the natural laws that govern collective human behavior.

Lefkoff will iscuss how the national security system has gone astray, and how the Center for Emergent Diplomacy is scaling up social change to the system level. “We have a laser focus on the root causes of economic collapse and climate catastrophe.  It’s too late for Band-aids, and we have some new ideas about how to disrupt and replace the worn-out structures causing inequality and global warming”.
