A Conversation With MAGGIE TOULOUSE OLIVER, New Mexico Secretary of State, On Her Long-Term Efforts to Work for Government Transparency and Ethics
Journey Hosts: Alan Webber & Bill Dupuy

Replacing the ill-fated Dianna Duran, who faced criminal charges, Toulouse Oliver won the special Secretary of State election last year to serve the final two years of Duran’s term. In her previous role as Bernalillo County Clerk, Toulouse Oliver distinguished herself by fighting to increase election efficiency and voter access. She continued these efforts to restore public trust in government in her new position as Secretary of State by refusing the Trump administration’s demand for voter information this June. Toulouse Oliver will share with the Journey audience the insights she has gleaned during her life-long battle to fight for government responsiveness and ethical integrity. She will talk about her new campaign for re-election to Secretary of State and how she plans to realize her goals to restore ethics and fair play to New Mexico government.
